Who: Shark Allies
What: An LA-based non-profit “dedicated to the protection and conservation of sharks and rays. Our focus is on taking action, on raising awareness and guiding initiatives that reduce the destructive overfishing of sharks on a global scale.”
Why: “Many shark species are threatened and we don’t have decades to get a handle on these issues. If we want to catch this before we hit the point of no return, then action is needed now. ”
