About the Global Penguin Society
GPS collect essential data of the biology and ecology of selected species, including population size and growth trends, and breeding parameters such as number of chicks produced per pairs. This information indicates how populations are responding to the environmental conditions around colonies.
They also track penguins at sea to identify the areas where they eat, what they eat and the routes they follow; this allows them to detect overlaps with human activities and helps to identify what areas need to be protected.
GPS assess the threats that penguins face like fishery mismanagement, oil drilling operations, pollution, changing conditions in the oceans, illegal trade of penguins, and human disturbance in the oceans.
10% of the profits from this necklace will be donated to the Global Penguin Society to fund the conservation of the world's penguins.

Sustainability
Sustainability
honu was founded with a core mission: to help save endangered sea turtles from extinction.
Thanks to your support, we’ve donated almost $100,000 to the Sea Turtle Conservancy and our other partners over the past four years. But we don’t stop here.
As a conscious business, we have a responsibility to look after our planet in every aspect of what we do. For us, this is more than just an obligation – it’s our passion.
During the four years since we were founded, we have made many adaptations to how we work to ensure we are as environmentally conscious as we can be – especially in the way we manufacture and deliver our jewels.
We don’t claim to be perfect, but we are committed to sustainability and promise we will continue to learn, adapt and improve in any way we possibly can.
